Volunteer and Fundraising

Barlow Mat Club is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that is dedicated to teaching the fundamental techniques of amateur wrestling in a positive and encouraging manner, while creating a culture that instills the principles of good sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, respect, and humility in order to prepare all wrestlers for life.

Each year, our schools face massive state budget cuts that not only affect our teachers, but our children and families as well.  As districts and schools decide how to prioritize funding, many times sports programs are the first to be cut.

Club sports programs like the Barlow Mat Club have stepped to help fill this void. As a non-profit organization, all funds go directly back into the program to help support our wrestlers. Unfortunately, registration fees are not enough to cover the rising costs and continual need to replace equiptment.

The only way for the club to meet these needs is through fundraising efforts.  The Barlow Mat Club will have one or more fundraising opportunities each season and will need each family to participate. A fundraising committee will be established and volunteers will be needed.
